Missing Christmas in Cambodia!

We praise the Lord for keeping all our children and staff at Power of Grace Children’s Home safe during all these times.  This part of our ministry is heaviest in our hearts as we feel helpless being unable to be with the children who are totally dependent upon us for all their needs.  We are very thankful that our staff are able to provide the needed care and supervision for all the children in our absence.  Over the Christmas season, our staff bought the presents and did the gift-giving that we enjoyed doing for the past many years.  The children are very appreciative of the gifts and we are very thankful for the brethren and friends who gave extra in order for us to be able to do this for the children.

Lockdown But Not Locked Out!

While public gatherings have been restricted, Grace Baptist Church – Phnom Penh still held Sunday worship services as the church facility is within a compound together with the Power of Grace Children’s Home.  Of course the attendance was mainly composed of the children, the staff and a few church members who show up alternately on different Sundays!  We Praise the Lord because although we are absent from our people, our God is very much present with them.  Governments can lock us down but we are never locked out from the presence of the Lord and our worship to Him is something He longs to receive.  Please keep praying that our people will be shielded from this on-going pandemic and that none of them will get sick during this time.  Please pray also for our staff as they bear more responsibility during these times.  Please help pray that we will be able to travel back to Cambodia as soon as possible.

Meriam and Joy Got Baptized!

It's always a special blessing to see our children at Power of Grace grow and understand about their need of Salvation and finally trust the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior.  We baptized Meriam and Joy this past Sunday.  Meriam personally came to me after the service 3 Sundays ago and asked if she could be baptized.  We have reviewed her salvation experience and set the date for her baptism.  When we announced that Meriam is getting baptized, Joy raised her hand and said she wants to be baptized too.  We reviewed her salvation experience and helped prepare them both for their baptism.  Meriam turns 10 years old in April while Joy will be 10 years old in August.

Power of Grace Radios!

With the help of special friends, we were able to have 1000 units of solar-powered radios with MP3 players intended for distribution to Cambodian countryside dwellers.  We did an Evangelistic ministry at a village that is more than 10 kilometers away from Pastor Kunthy Prak's church Last January 31, 2020.  One lady responded to the invitation to trust the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior.  After the Evangelistic service we gave out 25 radios to all the adults who came to attend.  They were instructed and encouraged to tune in to the 2 Christian radio stations in Cambodia. Please help pray that these people will do as instructed and that their whole family will eventually trust the Lord Jesus as personal Savior.
