Thanks So Much For Visiting!

The past few weeks, we have a string of visitors come through.  It's a always a good thing to have old and new friends come and spend time with us and share in some of our ministry activities.

Bro. Nick Barnett helped teach my subject on Missions Strategy for one full week.  He is a veteran Pastor in the US and has been a missionary in Thailand.  He is pictured here while teaching the second and third years, preaching at chapel services and posing with the students after chapel services.

Bro. Bogz and Sis. Perla Bugtong are special family friends back in the Philippines.  Pastor Bugtong is now Pastor at Bible Baptist Church in Molo, Iloilo, Philippines.  It's a blessing having them both at our church and being able to visit Cambodia Baptist Bible College.  Translating for Bro. Bogz while preaching at Grace Baptist Church is an experience we have never imagined would ever happen when we were young Christians back in our hometown!

Pastor Renato Rebaton's visit at Cambodia Baptist Bible College was very timely.  His insights for the Pastoral Theology class taught by Bro. Paul Tabanao were very helpful for the men preparing for the ministry.  He preached during our chapel services with Bro. Paul translating for him.  Pastor Rebaton has been in the ministry as church planter and pastor in the Philippines for more than 36 years.

Bro. Sophea and Sis. Sokly's Wedding!

I had the special privilege and blessing of officiating the wedding of our Assistant Pastor, Bunthagn Samsophea and Sis. Sokly last November 14.  Bro. Sophea has been part of our ministry since he got saved as a young teenager in 1998 and has serve with us here at Grace Baptist Church up to the present.  Sis. Sokly was saved and baptized in one of the mission works we are helping.  We helped her through Bible College and she just graduated at Cambodia Baptist Bible College last July.

Traditionally, Cambodian weddings last a whole day with the wedding ceremony being done in the morning and the main wedding reception being held in the later afternoon until the late at night.

We are blessed and are very thankful to have the presence of many Missionary and Pastor friends to help support and pray for the new couple as they make their promises to each other and start their new life together.

Teaching at Cambodia Baptist Bible College!

Teaching in a Bible college is one of the jobs I enjoy most as a preacher and as a missionary.  It is always a blessing to see the faces of Bible college students light up as they learn new truths or get enlightened about biblical concepts and thoughts that they might have heard before but have not fully comprehended their full implications and applications.  Cambodia Baptist Bible College opened the new school year last October 6, 2015 with 31 students.  I am very thankful to our missionary friends and local Pastors who are helping us in this great and most worthy endeavor.  We appreciate also our supporting Pastors and churches for helping us both in prayers and in finances to continue the operation of Cambodia Baptist Bible College.

DVBS 2015

DVBS 2015!
Thank God for 168 children who attended every day our 3 days vacation Bible school.  Some parents came and our young people shared to them the Gospel.  Please pray that these children who heard the Gospel and made professions of faith have truly understood what it means to be saved and that they will continue to come to our Sunday school and church services to know more of the Word of God.  Please pray also for the parents to continue coming to church as well.
