GBC @ 22

We praise the Lord for His great mercies upon us!  Despite Covid 19, lockdowns, quarantines, vaccinations and boosters life must go on.  Babies are born, people get sick and die!  The most important need remains the same; God's love and grace through His Son, Jesus Christ!

We were able to celebrate our church anniversary on May 1, 2022.  Missionary to Laos, Srim Sara was our special speaker for the occasion and he blessed with a powerful encouragement on the theme: God is Greater!  Yes, God is much greater than all the present cares and worries we are bombarded with on a day to day basis.

Moving Up!

We want to congratulate 4 of our children at Power of Grace Children’s Home who graduated from high school and passed the national exams for college and university eligibility with excellent marks.  It is a very heartwarming thing to see these children who were brought to our place when they were very young and now able to continue their schooling and have a better chance for a much brighter future ahead of them.  We sincerely appreciate all who have helped in supporting these children both in prayers and in finances.

Back to Some Normal!

On-site school activities have resumed at Academy International Cambodia.  However, school attendance has been reduced to less than 50% the size pre-pandemic.  Still, we are blessed to be able to see many of the children back and especially blessed to see many of them growing in the knowledge of the Lord and using their God-given skills and talents to serve the Lord in school and in the churches they attend.

Children's Outreach Resumed!

Our Sunday School teachers started visiting and inviting people to church and check if gathering children for Bible lessons are allowed in our surrounding communities.  The children are actually excited to come to the Bible lessons and even come to church.  Parents and older people are not that interested but are not stopping their children from coming to church so that is a good thing.  Please help pray that these children will really come to know the Lord and become the bridge for us to reach their families.

Back on the Ground!

The Lord God be praised!  Through your help in prayers, we were able to make it back to Cambodia.  We arrived here last July 24, 2021.  We were in quarantine much longer than most incoming travelers as some passengers we traveled with and stayed with in the hotel tested positive with COVID 19.  Thankfully, Daisy and myself are not infected, we finally got to our home here in Phnom Penh on August 11.

Our two sons who are working in our school and their spouses are all well.  It is such a blessing to be able to see them in person and even hug them.

Our children at Power of Grace Children’s Home are all in good health after 15 of them and 2 of our staff tested positive earlier in July.  We cannot express the relief and joy we felt seeing these children who call us Mom and Dad after 1 year and 5 months of separation due to this pandemic.

We are back into a new regular routine!  Responsibilities are still the same; Church, Children’s Home, School and Bible College.  We just have a much more different way of doing things like masks, distancing, sanitizing, livestreams and online meetings!  But overall, we are JUST SO GLAD TO BE BACK serving among our Cambodian people.

We owe you all a lot through your prayers and financial support and for that we are much more than thankful.
