Reaching Their Own People

Last February 23, Pastor Siem Bunthol at Grace Baptist Mission, Kandal Steung, baptized seven new believers.  We thank the Lord for Bro. Siem’s faithfulness and hard work among the people in his community.  Most Sundays, their small meeting place is filled with adult and teen worshippers while the children held their Sunday school classes in the open air seated on plastic tarps and sacks sewn together laid on the ground.
Trivia: Kandal Steung means "middle of the stream".  Notice in the pictures that Bro. Siem and those he baptized were all literally in the middle of the stream.

CBBC Sports Festival 2013

During the second week of February, Cambodia Baptist Bible College held a one day Sports Festival.  As expected, the students were so enthusiastic to have a break from academic work for some physical activities, fun and fellowship.  We appreciate very much Missionary Edu Tamayo, our College vice president and Missionary Bob Colon, our CBBF president for leading in this program together with our college staff and our energetic Cambodian Pastors.  We intend to expand this activity in subsequent events to include opportunities to showcase the talents and other skills of our Bible college students.

Train up a child...

This picture was taken last January 31, 2013 during our chapel service at AIC.  The children singing in front are Samuel and Sarah Rolda, adopted children of Missionary Rainier Rolda.  Samuel and Sarah have been going to school at Academy International Cambodia since Kindergarten.  It is a blessing to watch children like them learn academics and also grow in the knowledge of God's Word and grace.  AIC has been partnering with families so that children will be exposed to God's Word and be given a platform to help children hone their talents in serving God.

Roofing Done, Praise the Lord!

Our multi-purpose activity and ministry center roofing was finally completed on the third week of December right before our Children’s Christmas program.  It is such a blessing to have a spacious and convenient place to hold all kinds of church and children’s ministry functions.  Thanks to the Lord for the provisions and to all of you who prayed and sacrificially given for this project.

A Macedonian Call!

Months ago, some people approached Pastor Prak Kunthy, one of the Cambodia Pastors we are working with, about a neglected place of ministry.  We went to see the place, we were saddened by the what we saw.  We saw people in great need of someone to show them the way and a building that could have been a beautiful place of worship if only it is being used and cared for.  Our heart breaks seeing an opportunity to reach a group of people being wasted.  Please help pray that one of our own preachers will get the burden to go to this place and reach the people there with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
