Bittersweet!

We had a very wonderful event held on our grounds last December 21, 2023.  It was the wedding celebration of Soksoeun (Srey Toyt) and Sudipto Sangma.  Srey Toyt was raised here at Power of Grace Children's Home.  We sent her to the Philippines to study to become a teacher.  There she met Sudipto, a Christian young man from Bangladesh, studying to become a Pastor.  They fell in love and decided to become life partners.  Srey Toyt is a very huge help in our Children's Home, in our academy and in our church.  While we would prefer to have Srey Toyt and enjoy her company and help around our ministries, we are very excited to see her serve the Lord in another country and culture together with her husband.  It's an amazing development that one Cambodian girl raised in a Children's Home ends up becoming a missionary wife in a foreign field.  God's work and ways are truly unfathomably amazing!  You can never tell what God can do in the lives of the people you help reach with the Gospel. 

AIC @ the Regional Students' Convention!

 Academy International Cambodia was invited to participate in the Regional Students' Convention held at Chiang Mai, Thailand from November 26 to December 1, 2023.  Because of the distance and the high cost of travel, we were able to bring just 5 student delegates.  However, the rare experience for our students made the trip and the effort well worth it. Our students competed in multiple events and each of our 5 students received at least 1 medal each.  Most notable of the awards our students obtained were the 16 year-old and above Preaching Contest where Joseph Poole won the First Place and the Mixed Trio where our entry (Megaera Bastes, Joseph Poole and Thomas Uy) won First Place and did a Command Performance in one of the evening rallies!  Congratulations students!  All Glory belongs to Lord alone!
